Smile Makeover

Over time we may become self-conscious about the condition of our teeth or simply want a change. Here at Pinnacle Peak Dental Care we offer complimentary consults for Smile Makeovers. A Smile Makeover may include a combination of procedures to give your smile a new look. We create personalized Smile Makeover treatment plans so we can enhance the overall esthetic appearance and/or function of your teeth with long-lasting, beautiful results.

What Concerns Can a Smile Makeover Address?

With a Smile Makeover, our dentists use advanced techniques and state-of-the-art procedures to address a range of cosmetic and/or functional concerns.

A Smile Makeover can:
  • Reduce the appearance of a “gummy smile”
  • Replace missing teeth
  • Eliminate gaps, spaces, and/or discolorations
  • Straighten the appearance of your teeth
  • Correct bite irregularities such as overbite, open bite, or crossbite conditions
  • Improve the appearance of worn-down, short, and/or aged teeth
  • Lighten the shade of the teeth
What Are My Smile Makeover Options?

The following procedures are some of the options available for a Smile Makeover and multiple may be required depending on the extent of treatment required. The potential necessary procedures are:

    Porcelain Veneers and/or Crowns
    Teeth Whitening
    Cosmetic Dental Bonding
    Gum Contouring
    Dental Implants

During your initial consultation, our dentist will listen to your questions and concerns. After understanding what your individual goals are we will answer all of your questions and decide the ideal procedures necessary for your Smile Makeover.
Smile Makeovers can be deeply personal for many patients. We find there is usually a specific reason or goal behind each patients’ motivation to improve the esthetic and/or functionality of their smile. Feeling confident about your smile is critical to quality of life. Whether you are in your twenties or your eighties, we believe you look and feel your best without being limited by your teeth.

What Is the Smile Design Process Like?

The Smile Design process typically begins with a comprehensive evaluation of your overall oral health. Typically esthetic concerns are a result of something mechanically and/or functionally needing attention. We feel it is important to understand your teeth and their current condition so we can design your smile for the best chance at long-term success. At our practice, we make sure we have addressed things like active gum disease, active decay, infections and/or anything causing pain/discomfort first. Once we determine your oral health is stable then we transition to the Smile Makeover process which is the exciting part of dentistry: giving you the smile you have always wanted.
The next step in designing your smile is to take photographs and a 3D scan. Photographs provide important context for your treatment as it relates to your facial features and so we can discuss realistic goals. The 3D intra-oral scan is sent to our lab for a custom wax-up, creating a 3D model of your teeth, to show us how the final result can potentially look. We then have a 2nd follow-up consult, more if necessary, to discuss the wax-up to show you the potential final results and get your input on any changes if necessary. We do not start any work until you love the wax-up and approve it! Once approved we schedule your Smile Makeover appointments to move forward with the treatment as detailed in yor plan.
We use a highly skilled lab; it is of the utmost importance to have a top-quality lab so we can turn the vision into a reality. Natural teeth have layers, the outer enamel and the inner layer are called dentin. A skilled lab ceramist makes the crowns completely custom for you; these custom restorations are really important because this is how we create natural looking teeth that are not just a single shade throughout.
